Monuments

Very few monuments have survived time and human interventions. Archaeological sites are still under research. Some of the findings will become monuments in the future, but it will take time and money, to find, and also to safeguard. An arbitrary anthology (by non professionals), follows:

The Lion of Amphipolis is probably erected to remind one of the many battles for the possession of the strategic city of Amphipolis.
