The CIES – Centro
di Ingegneria Economica e Sociale – is a non-profit organisation, which gathers
public and private partners. The public partners are: Università della Calabria, Regione Calabria
(regional law n° 7/95), Politecnico di Milano, Istituto Superiore delle
Comunicazioni (Ministero delle comunicazioni), ARSSA (Agenzia Regionale per lo
Sviluppo e per i Servizi in Agricoltura). The private partners include Telecom
Italia SpA, SI-IES S.r.l. (Istituto Europeo Servizi), Rubbettino Editore
S.r.l., Pitagora S.p.A., Telespazio S.p.A., Nomisma S.p.A., Ericsson Enterprise
